If today was the wedding I'd be scrambling for cute rain boots and a very large umbrella. It's pouring down rain and it's quite windy. All of October has been like this in the Chicago area, and I could probably count the number of dry days on one hand. I've been paying close attention to how this October has played out to try to get an idea of what next year may bring. The weather has been mid 50's most of the month. Perfect in my book. Today it's 65 and super humid.
The trees have been absolutely gorgeous lately. Oranges and yellows and reds covered the branches... until yesterday when the wind came and it rained leaves. Most of the trees are now mostly bare, but it still looks like fall. If I wasn't afraid of getting my dress dirty I could easily arrange photos of Jimmy and I jumping in huge piles of leaves next year.
So we officially have 12 months left to plan. So far this is what we've accomplished:
- Booked the reception venue
- Bought my dress
- I have 2 bridesmaids and a MOH (which I have yet to blog about)
- Jimmy has a best man
- Signed with a photographer
- We have our guest list
