I met Jimmy at his house around 5 and we grabbed dinner at Portillo's before our 6:30 train to the city. I never take the train so it was kind of exciting and I felt like a real Chicagoan. Jimmy on the other hand takes the train to and from work every day so he was less than enthusiastic. I think he got a kick out of my excitement though. I act like a kid when we do something out of the ordinary.
After a half-hour train ride watching 2 Cubs fans on their way to the game shot-gun beers, we arrived and had an 8 block walk to Jennifer's studio. Her building is near a cookie factory and the entire block smelled of brownies. I was in heaven. Was that a sign of how the evening would go? I hoped so!
Jennifer let us in and we got right into talking about our wedding plans, her wedding, and our lives. It all progressed into her photography style and what to expect on our wedding day. Jensey's list of questions came in handy throughout the meeting, and 2 hours later it felt like we were friends. We left with just enough time to catch the next train and on the walk back Jimmy and I went over everything we liked about Jennifer and her photography. Jimmy slept on the ride home and I day dreamed of engagement shoots and wedding things.
I was very impressed with J Wiley Photography and everything she had to offer. We chose a wedding package that suited our needs and I hope to come to a decision soon.
This would be the package we'd go with. VERY excited about the engagement shoot!
During our walk Jimmy and I pretty much decided that we'd go with Jennifer, but I think we do need to wait it out and make sure this is really what we're gonna go with. Our toughest decision may turn out to be not so hard after all!

Hi! I just found your blog! Booking my photographer was THE hardest thing I had to do thus far in the wedding planning. I am super happy with my decision, but man, did it take a looooong time! :)
