I Signed The Contract!

Photobucket
We officially are booked to have our reception at Cog Hill on October 30, 2010. I went over with my dad to sign the contract and give Jim the $1000 deposit. I made sure to take lots of pictures while I had the chance, and Jim recommended I come back to see the room set up for a wedding. They have weddings pretty much every Saturday, but with the BMW Championship coming up in September, I think I'll wait till October to check it out so all the scaffolding and bleachers for the tournament is taken down. I'm also curious to see what the grounds will look like in late October. How much will the leaves have changed by then? What's the average temperature around then? I've never really paid close attention.

The chairs are very pretty so I won't have to pay extra to cover them!!

Those glass doors open up to the main dining room

The bar is not attached to the dining room so I hope people don't stay in there away from the rest of the party!

The bar is directly to the right of where I was standing when I took this picture.

We'll have full access to this patio area, and if the weather permits, the bar will be open for us.

I didn't have any questions, but asked Jim if he thought there was anything else I needed to know. He explained some stuff we had gone over on our last visit, and included 2 other pieces of info I thought important. The first was that they do not offer shots at the bar. Because of insurance issues and seminars they've attended, they no longer provide them to guests. That's fine for me and I think pretty much all my friends and I doubt any of our guests would be mad about it since we're providing a full open bar anyway. The second was that with our contract we get a foursome of golf! So I'll leave that up to Jimmy to decide who'll get it since he doesn't play.

I'm not sure which of the four courses this is, but our free round is for course 1 or 3... unfortunately not the world famous Dubsdread.
