Until Next Year...

Last night I officially put my dress in storage until it's time to start alterations. It had been hanging on the pantry door for 2 weeks and last night I was tired of looking at it mock me saying, "you know you want to wear me... just for a minute, come on!"

I took the opportunity to take her out one last time to show my dad what she looked like in person. Mom and I also compared some fabric swatches from Aria against the ivory fabric. (I think we're going Aubergine and Sunset Gold for the bridesmaid dresses!)

After 2 minutes or so of examining the details one last time, Mom got a new sheet and we wrapped it around the dress and put the veil in a pillow case. I don't know exactly why we were supposed to do this instead of just letting it sit in the original packaging, but Kate said we had to do it before keeping the dress in the garment bag.

So now she's hanging on the guest room door because there's no where else out of the way that's high enough to keep it from dragging on the floor.

And this is in a bag with my bra and crinoline awaiting October 30, 2010.
