One More Lady, And Still No Gents

It's been quite a while since I posted anything wedding. Not much has been accomplished lately and I've been more focused on spending time with Jimmy since he's returned from his week-long camping trip.

This past weekend Jimmy and I went to Heyworth to visit my older sister Kris and her family. I love spending time with the Hardings, but because our schedules are so crazy, plus we live 2 hours apart it doesn't happen as often as we'd like. I was very excited for this trip because not only would I get to spend time with some of my favorite people, but they would be able to get to know Jimmy better and he could do the same.

Friday night Emma had her kid birthday party sleepover. As soon as Jimmy and I got there, Jamie stole Jimmy away to hang out at the neighbors while Kris and I took care of the party. After makeovers, s'mores, and a dance party, the girls settled down in the basement watching Hannah Montana. While Kris and I had a moment alone, I asked her to be a bridesmaid. She seemed shocked and happily excepted. I teared up and we exchanged hugs before she ran upstairs to show me her wedding planning book and photo albums from 12 years ago. Oh I am so thrilled that Kris will be standing up for me at the wedding!

The rest of the weekend was spent on the boat where Jimmy tubed with the kids, taught Jamie to wakeboard, and almost got Kaleb up on skis.

So so far I have asked 3 of my 4 ladies I would like to have in the wedding. I'm still debating if I want to ask the last over the phone or wait till I see her since she lives 2 states away. Jimmy... well he has asked 0 of his 4 or 5 guys he's planning on asking. Honestly I'm getting a little impatient with the whole thing. I don't know if he just doesn't know how to ask or that he doesn't know when would be the most appropriate time and place. I even offered to help him come up with a little gift to help ask since Jimmy isn't the best at putting his thoughts into words.

Last night we went out with 2 of the future groomsmen, one of which being the best man. I had mentioned to Jimmy that tonight would be a good night to ask since one will be going back to school this week and he may not see him again before then. Well at dinner Jimmy ordered shots for the guys and they were all toasting. Jimmy began to toast his 2 friends in a way to tell them they were his best man and groomsman, but he was drown out by everyone else and wasn't really heard. While everyone else was in other conversations I asked Jimmy if he was just gonna let it go and he said he was. It bothered me that he didn't care. I guess I just wanted him to ask so I could be a part of the excitement, and also every time I'm with the guys I know Jimmy wants to ask I feel like I'll slip up and spill the beans.

I don't want to push Jimmy into anything if he's not ready, but it's been 3 months since we got engaged. Maybe I'll bring it up again tonight.
