Kris, Alison, Mom, and I went dress shopping tonight. We went to two salons just to have fun and look at what style I like best. I had no idea I'd be buying "the one." I cried, Mom cried, Kris cried, even the sales lady Kate cried. It was perfect. I just knew it was my dress in my heart.
The first stop was at House of Brides. The only reason we wanted to go here was because they carry the Disney Bridal line. After I checked in we were shown a room and were allowed to pick any dresses we wanted on our own and try them on. I think we saw my sales associate 5 times in total. Not very good service for a bridal shop in my honest opinion. I tried on a Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Jasmine that I liked the most. Jasmine was my favorite, but at $3500 it was way out of my price range of $1000.

After House of Brides, we went to dinner at Panda Express for the half hour before our appointment at David's Bridal. Let me say that I love David's Bridal. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I felt more at ease trying the dresses on. I gave my sales associate Kate an idea of what I liked, and she brought out quite a few dresses for me. My dress was one of the first ones I tried on, but I'll go out of order with the pictures. We only took pics of the ones we really liked so there aren't many.
And here she is in all her glamorous glory. She's ivory with champagne lace embellishment. I love the color on me, and it makes me feel gorgeous. Like I said, I cried. It's a designer dress, too! Oleg Cassini! Wow, I never thought I'd be wearing a designer gown!
It's nothing I imagined my wedding dress to be, but I couldn't have dreamed this dream of a dress. Simple, elegant, timeless. My dress!! It was originally priced at $1,050.50, but was on sale for $850.50! And because my mom is so amazing she purchased my dress, veil, headpiece, crinoline, and bra! I am a lucky girl. I love you Mom!!
