Jimmy has a full matching set in his house that he received from a family friend. It's been great to have as we've slowly furnished his house, but is probably from the 1970's. I knew I'd want new furniture eventually. Something that will last for the rest of our lives.
This afternoon my sister Alison and I went to a few furniture stores to look at what they offered. We'd pick out a few sets we liked and then later I'd bring Jimmy out to pick one. I knew he'd hate to look at everything so we narrowed down the choices. Jimmy came over tonight for dinner and to get his birthday present from my parents, and after we went to the store that held the beds I liked.
To make a long and boring story a little shorter we picked a set and then went to the mattress section to try out a few options. The lady that was helping us told us to make sure we laid on each and not just sit. She'd follow us to each and explain what the differences were. At one I mentioned I could pretty much sleep on anything and she replied in a way I didn't see coming.
Sales Lady: "Try to imagine how you're going to feel when you're pregnant."
Me: "Um... I don't know how I'll feel since I've never been pregnant."
Sales Lady: "Well think about wanting to be comfortable when it's hard to get comfortable."
Me: "I'd rather not."
Sales Lady: "And think about the baby."
Me: "Baby!?"
Sales Lady: "Too soon?"
At that point she changed subjects. We all laughed about it, but in reality this bed and this mattress we'll recieve will be the bed and mattress I'll be (and probably get) pregnant on. It's kinda scary to think about. This furniture will be with us through so many milestones in our life.

But that's a very cute set! I love the bed.
Yikes! What an awkward comment! But that is neat that this will become a real part of your life. GREAT pick!
