I Found Them

My shoes. As we speak they are on their way to my house from shoes.com.

As soon as I found my dress I began the search for shoes. Originally I was thinking of bold purple shoes to coordinate with the bridesmaid dresses. Unfortunately dressy purple affordable shoes are hard to come by. Plus my shoes had to be flat. I'm 5'9 and Jimmy is 5'10. I'm uncomfortable as it is being tall, and I definitely didn't want to be towering over Jimmy.

So as I continued to search for affordable, flat, purple shoes, I started to stray to ivory since there were so many more options. I found a cute pair of ballet flats on dessy.com. They were quite plain but I figured I could dress them up with a pair of shoe clips, and then Miss Pug posted about these fabulous shoe clips and I was smitten.

However, I couldn't bring myself to make the purchase. So tonight I thought I'd browse through shoes.com, and on the first page of ballet flats, there they were. Lovely pale pink flats. My heart skipped a beat. Without looking at the price I click on the picture.

They are Rocket Dogs! I have a pair of Rocket Dogs and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. They are made of a silk-like material so they should be dressy enough. Plus that bow is just too much!

True, pink wasn't my original thought, and it isn't a color I'll be using in the wedding, but it's my favorite color and I think the paleness will look nice with the ivory and champagne of my dress. I can't wait till they arrive so I can see them with my dress!! (And it'll give me an excuse to put my dress on again!!)

Oh... one more thing. The soles. Quite possibly my favorite part.

Eeeeee! So cute. I'm imagining on my wedding day sitting on the ground in my dress with these puppies popping out from underneath... maybe while giving my sweets a smooch.
