When I talked to Jimmy this afternoon about what happened, we decided that after New Years I'd move in to his house. There are many more schools in his town, and there are even a few instructional aide positions open at the school a few blocks away. I'll be applying for those, and even if I'm not selected, I'll sub in the surrounding districts for the rest of this year. Plus I'll still be able to keep my position at the Disney Store. I've been there for over 6 years and I don't plan on leaving any time soon.
So this day wasn't all bad in the end.

YAY for things looking up! (I just saw both posts right now... hugs) I think this is a great idea, it's much easier to find jobs like that outside of the immediate city areas, and it sounds like his neighborhood will be perfect. So hang in there- do NOT feel guilty- and know that it will work out for the best!
