As of Sunday night we've officially started the search for a DJ. This is something that I haven't wanted to do. At all. It's just not a fun part of the wedding for me. Yes, the DJ has the potential to make or break the dance portion of our reception, but I just don't want to do it! But alas... it must be done.

Jimmy started searching online for Chicago area DJs, but ultimately decided that he didn't want to find a DJ online, but through recommendations from friends. So we're asking around to find our DJ. So far we've gotten a few names and will look into those soon. Any Chicago area brides have suggestions?

Also, apparently Jimmy has been secretly planning on having a live band play during dinner! He's been in cahoots with his brother (a musician himself) to not only get musician(s) for the ceremony, but also possibly part of the reception. That's all the info he let me in on. I guess it'll be a surprise!! Honestly I think it's a bit over the top, but if it's something wedding Jimmy's excited about I'll let it fly.
