While I was not blogging, Jimmy was busy in the wedding department. He finally got around to asking all of his groomsmen to be in the wedding. I just found out about this yesterday even though it happened the day before Thanksgiving. Jimmy and our friends were celebrating my sister's 24th birthday (and I was at work.) At some point Jimmy pulled aside each guy separately and asked them to stand up at the wedding. Shots went around and everyone happily accepted. That is all I've been told about how it happened. I guess it's one of those moments that will just stay between Jimmy and each of his friends. I'm lucky to call each of these guys my friends, too and knew them all before Jimmy and I started our relationship.
Officially I can now introduce you to our groomsmen! I am still figuring out the last of my bridesmaids and what to do with my nieces, so that will be a post for the future.
Jimmy has known Moik forever. They went to grammar school together, attend the same church, and live a few blocks from each other. Moik is a clown. Everything he says is funny, and you just can't keep a straight face around him. He is currently earning his masters in speech pathology at UofI. He also has an amazing voice and sings all the time.
Jimmy has known Anthony since high school, but didn't really become friends until their senior year. Anthony is the fashionista in the group. He can't say no to a sale at Macy's and won't leave the house unless dressed to a T. He is VERY opinionated and isn't afraid to say so. In fact we've had arguments over a few things and I NEVER argue with anyone. He's a numbers genius, as well as huge into Star Trek. He works in the field of finance doing crazy things with math. Something I will never know how to do.
He works as a part of Best Buy's Geek Squad. It is rare to find him without his iPhone or laptop. Jimmy has known Pete since high school. They like to talk about wiring electronics and other things that go WAY over my head. Pete loves to snowboard and would move to Utah with his girlfriend in a heartbeat.
