My entire family has birthdays between August and November. Because of that fact and that my siblings no longer live minutes away, Thanksgiving often turns into a birthday celebration. Since I hadn't seen my sister Kris and her family for my birthday, she came bearing many gifts for Mom, Dad, my younger sister Alison, and me. This year Kris and her husband Jamie went in on a joint birthday/Christmas gift with my brother David and his wife Jen. When I opened the large box, I found this:
I couldn't believe it. I had planned on registering for one, but now it already sits happily in Jimmy's kitchen. I told Kris that it was just too much, but she insisted that it is something that I NEED to have as a married woman and that she would have bought it for me eventually anyway.
Later after Thanksgiving dinner I went on Skype to talk to my brother and his family in Virginia. I thanked them profusely and they were happy with how excited I was.
I haven't made anything with it yet, but with Christmas coming in a few weeks, I'm sure I will find myself mixing up a storm!

OMG I love mine! They are the best inventions ever and oh so stylish in your kitchen :) Mine is in red to match all the other little accents in my kitchen. What a great gift.
Seriosly my Kitchen Aid is the best thing ever!! I want to get the ice cream maker attachment for it...and the pasta maker! So fun!!
