Happy Valentines Day!! I'll be spending the day at my parents' house for dinner. Jimmy is skiing in Colorado. He left this past Friday and won't be home until next Sunday. I don't mind. I know he's having a great time.
We agreed to not do gifts for V-Day this year, but of course we both failed. The day he left, a big box arrive on the doorstep for me. This is what it contained:
These are not my actual flowers as mine haven't fully bloomed yet. They are already gorgeous and make the entire house smell amazing. These are only the 2nd flowers I've received from Jimmy in the 3.5 years we've been together. The first were sent to the hospital room I was in for a week 2 years ago after I had some complications after a procedure on my liver. So I was floored when I got these on Friday. The card read, "I love you and will miss you all week long."
I slipped a copy of "I Like You" by Sandol Stoddard Warbur into Jimmy's bag before I drove him to the airport. It's a sweet little book that I knew Jimmy would get a kick out of.
I'll give him a call at some point today, but he's probably out in the snow as I type this having the time of his life.
