The Standard Resolution To Exercise

I've never worked out on a regular basis. A few months during college I did go to the fitness center regularly, but since then I haven't set foot in a gym. Well a few days ago Jimmy suggested that the two of us start going to the gym together. I'm glad he wants to do this as a team because we can keep each other motivated to go... I hope.

The gym we chose to go to is only about half a mile from the house, and there is no contract to sign, so we'll pay month by month. I'm excited to start today as soon as Jimmy comes home from work. A little nervous, but excited. Plus our friends Steve (our best man) and Matt are already members, so that's 2 more people to keep me in check!

I don't have much weight to lose. Maybe 5-10lbs. What I really want to do is lose some inches from my thighs and butt, and tone my upper arms.

I still plan on doing the Couch to 5k program, but will wait until the spring because winter in the Chicago area is no time to start running. Jimmy's done marathons before and suggested that in the future we should run one together (probably a half marathon.)

Right now these are all empty words since we haven't even finished day one. I'm hopeful that the motivation of the wedding will keep me going, and once we're married this will have become a habit we won't want to break.

Good for you!! I'm looking to lose about the same...but I only have 7 weeks to go!! Keep up the great work!

That is so awesome that your man wants to exercise with you. It will be so much better doing it as a team! How awesome is that!
