My grandparents were very tidy people that didn't hold on to many things. My sister and I did find a drawer full of old handkerchiefs in Grandma's dresser. I found two ivory ones lined with delicate lace that I plan to hold onto during the ceremony. I keep telling myself I won't cry at the wedding, but who am I kidding? I cry at everything. So whichever I choose to use will not only keep my tears at bay, but will remind me of my grandparents since they both carried handkerchiefs at all times.
So now to find something borrowed and blue since my dress is new and now I have something old.

What a perfect idea! And I'm sure your Grandma would be honored!!
My grandmother also always has hankerchiefs on her :) Such a great idea. You could always do the traditional garter with blue in it for your something blue. I actually borrowed my veil from a friend so I wouldn't have to borrow one and that is my something borrowed. I have also seen this new thing (maybe on Etsy?) where you can buy a tag with blue embroidery that has your new name and wedding date on it and have your seamstress sew it into your wedding gown. It's a cute way of personalizing it and making it your something blue :)
