Happy 2010!

Welcome 2010!!! I can't believe that I can officially say that Jimmy and I are getting married THIS year!!

On Tuesday Dec 29 I officially moved in with Jimmy. It doesn't feel like I really live here yet, but Jimmy and I are enjoying being roomies!

I'm sad to say that 2009 did not leave on a good note. Around 6:30 in the morning December 31, 2009 my grandma passed away. She was put into hospice care earlier that week, so it was a blessing, but still hard on my family. We celebrated her life Sunday and Monday. She really is in a better place after suffering from severe dementia the past few years.

I spent New Years Eve at Steve's house with a small group of close friends. Jimmy and I gorged ourselves with too much good food, rang in 2010 with a kiss and a small amount of champagne, and ended up falling asleep on the couch by 1:30 am. We're old.

Still nothing new to report on the wedding front, so I'll just leave you lovely ladies with the standard New Year blog survey.

No, but we learned on Christmas eve that FSIL is pregnant and is due late August 2010!

I am so very sorry to hear about your Grandma...it seems there are lots of health issues I have dealt with or heard about of late. Here's hoping that 2010 is filled with good health and amazing memorable moments! And so glad you were able to celebrate your grandma's life with peace about the situation.

I'm so sorry to hear that about your grandma. My grandma passed away December 30, 2006, so I know how hard it is to have a loved one placed in hospice care around the holidays. I'm glad you were able to celebrate her life, though!
