RSVP Woes

I am officially beyond frustrated with RSVP's... and they've been due since October 1st.

Since yesterday...
  • A family of 4 decided to change their no to a yes.
  • A couple told me yesterday they were not going to be coming.
  • A friend of mine is "60% unsure that she will be able to make it to the wedding" because her boyfriend will have to work. I told her if she still doesn't know by tonight I will have to mark her as not attending.
  • People have dropped their plus-ones.
  • FMIL wants us to invite our ceremony guitarist to the reception. I don't give a damn if he's friends with FBIL. He has no connections to Jimmy nor me. Do you also suggest I invite the lady who's making our cake or the owner of the tux shop? This is just one little thing of a huge list of annoyances my FMIL is inflicting upon me.
  • Not to mention the whole ex-MOH issue.
I want to yell and scream at these people... especially since I printed all of our escort cards yesterday and called Cog Hill to ask if they could squeeze in one more table. Jimmy is equally as angry.

The stress of this week is making me want to be done with it all and just jump to Sunday when it will all be over.

We had similar stresses the week before our wedding (and it led to breakdowns on my part!) but trust me--it'll all work out in the end. People are annoying when it comes to weddings but regardless, you'll get married and have a wonderful set of people surrounding you.

I second the last comment. I had RSVPs still unanswered through the day of... finally I just said f*** it and decided not to stress. It worked out in the end.

I'm really sorry that it's been rough, but I'm sure that once the day comes, it will all be worth it. That's what everyone says anyway.

BTW, I loathe everything to do with invitations. I know they're going to be my biggest headache. Stupid guest list.
