The one thing that has anything to do with our marriage that happened while I was away happened on the cruise ship. It was one afternoon when Jimmy and I were relaxing at the adult pool. We were in the water when all of a sudden I realized that my engagement ring was gone. GONE! I jumped out of that pool so fast to try and find it. I thought it was gone for good in the pool or some other random place on the ship.
Luckily only a minute passed before I realized I had taken it off to reapply sunscreen and never put it back on. Thank goodness people on the Disney Wonder either didn't see it or weren't horrible thieves because I left it sitting on a ledge out in the open where anyone could have taken it. It must have been sitting there for at least 30 minutes.
I felt so bad about leaving it where it could have been lost forever, but so thankful that I was able to place it safely back on my finger. That was the first, and hopefully only time that I will almost lose my ring.

You're not dumb! I'd totally do that too if I had an engagement ring. I think a lot of engaged and newlywed gals have. I'm not used to jewelry so I think I'd forget the thing everywhere! It is great that no one took it though!
