- I knew I'd be doing much of the planning myself, so I thought the honeymoon would be a good way to get him involved.
- Jimmy hasn't traveled as much in his life as I have in mine. Most of his past vacations either involved camping in Canada, or skiing in the Rocky Mountains. I wanted him to pick a place he wanted to see regardless of whether I'd already been there in my life.
Well it turns out that none of those choices are on the top of Jimmy's list. Last night he revealed that he was debating between a Hawaiian vacation...
No matter what he chooses, we will be setting up a honeyfund registry to help offset the cost since the wedding itself is already costing way more than we imagined it would in the beginning. Our BBB registry stands at 85 items, and most are small kitchen gadgets. FBIL's wife Sonya really pushed the idea of a honeymoon registry on Easter, and Jimmy and I both thought it sounded like a neat idea. We're prepared to pay for the entire honeymoon ourselves, but anything we may receive from the honeyfund will be icing on the cake. Guests could choose how they'd like us to spend the money such as a night in the hotel, or a day at a fun museum.
What would you choose? Hawaii or California? I'm hoping for Hawaii because I know how amazing it is having been there a few times, and I doubt Jimmy and I will go there any other time in our lives. Although a trip up the Californian coast in a convertible sounds like it'd be such a fun, memory making trip.

I think both options sound like they would be really fun!
Sounds like a lot of fun! I would pick Hawaii if it was up to me :-)
How did you decide which honeymoon registry to use? We are looking into it right now but don't know who to sign up with
Ah, Hawaii and California, two places I am intimately familiar with. Having done that roadtrip up the CA coast many times, I can tell you that it is breathtaking and very much worth doing...but probably something you should save for another time. Driving up the CA coast is just not that relaxing to me, and you won't want to make that drive in a convertible in October and definitely not in November. NorCal, especially on the coast, will be too cold.
I'd go for Hawaii, especially since you'll be there in the off-season. It'll be so relaxing, but you'll still have a lot to do when you want to do stuff...as I guess you know since you've been there. Go island hopping to the Big Island and do the manta ray dive/snorkel! It's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
