3 months after our wedding. I think that pretty much makes me a pathetic bride.
The thank-you note writing was THE WORST. I couldn't motivate myself to get it done, and finally this week I forced myself to finish the almost 60 cards I still had to do.
I am very thankful to all the lovely cards and gifts we received, but it was so hard trying to come up with original things to say to each gift giver. Plus I had to do all 120+ thank-you's myself since Jimmy would not help... well I really just didn't ask him. I'm sure if I bugged him enough he would have taken some of the burden off of me. Oh well, my fault.
But now that they've all been sent and not looming over my head anymore, I'm sooooo relieved.
If I could do it over, in a perfect world I'd write a few each day instead of waiting 3 months and then doing most at the last minute. But I know that if I actually had the chance for a do-over I'd probably do the same... that's the procrastinator in me.

I think I found a way that we are different from each other... I'm a lot more bossy. lol
I TOLD Jacob that he was responsible for doing the Thank Yous for everyone that came from his "side" and I would do all for my friends and family... he had more guests than i did... so it made my job much easier. ;)
I wouldn't worry about how long it took for you to do your thank you notes. It took me about 3 months as well. I'm sure your guests were just happy to receive them!
3 months is not "bad" at all- it is so hard to make them personal & get them all done. I just received a thank you note from a wedding I went to a year ago. While I was waiting over the year, I thought "I wonder if I'll get one... I wonder if they got my gift" and now that I have it I don't give it a second thought. Just being thanked is what matters most.
