Can't Turn Back Now

I just dropped off the invitations at the post office.

I honestly can't believe I actually made the deadline I set for myself. These were a beast to put together.

The mix up was taken care of and I got the inner envelopes only a day after I filed the complaint. The next day my friend Katie came over, and she, my sister Alison, and I did a sort of assembly line and stuffed all of the inner envelopes. The following two days I spent printing the addresses of all our guests. I hated this process. I didn't know half the people I was making envelopes for, so I was extra cautious to not make any mistakes. Then this past Saturday I wrote the first names of all the guests invited on the inner envelopes to avoid confusion if I allowed a plus one, or that family's children to attend. By Sunday they were ready to go.

This was my set up all day on Saturday. I wrote each guest's name on a stuffed inner envelope, wrote the excel sheet # that matched each guest on the inside of the RSVP so I know who sent one if they forget to write their name on the M____ line, then stuffed their printed outer envelope with the inner, and sealed them. It was a long process.

Of course Jimmy decided to go golfing that morning so I was on my own with the invitations AND the puppy. Fritz sat next to me (sometimes on me) the whole time being a good little boy. I let him chew on the cardboard box that held the invitations. I was just happy he wasn't roaming the house getting into all kinds of trouble.

I bride needs to keep hydrated!! The Tervis Tumbler I got at my bridal shower the weekend before. Jimmy got a groom one, too.

I still have a few to finish. I'm hunting down a few last minute add-in addresses, but after those are out I never want to see another one of my invitations again. Seriously.

Now we wait for the RSVP's to roll in!!

Whew, invitations were stressful over here too! Congrats on getting them out!

I am so happy that I am not the only one who is not in love with invitations. I plan on trying to make them as simple as possible, but I'm sure they'll still be a pain in the ass. Yay for never having to see them again!
