Jimmy and all of the groomsmen were already there, and Jennifer had Jimmy set up where we'd do out first look. I greeted the groomsmen very excitedly and we exchanged hugs and words of love. I seriously love everyone that was a part of our wedding. I'm so lucky to be so close to them all!
Then Jennifer came up and raved about my dress. It was pretty spectacular. She explained how the first look would happen, and then she started to lead me to my spot with my mom helping carry my train.

This is where my one and only "bridezilla" moment happened. When I got close to where I was supposed to be before I started walking toward Jimmy I freaked out on my mom that she wasn't allowed to watch and she needed to leave! She understood that I wanted this to be a moment with just Jimmy and I (plus photographers) so she didn't have a problem hanging with the rest of the bridal party. I still felt bad after-the-fact though.
After I was in place, Jennifer told me I could take as long as I needed before I started to walk toward Jimmy. I took a minute being too excited and nervous before I walked toward my soon-to-be husband.
It was such a great moment on our wedding day and I'm so glad we didn't wait until the ceremony to see each other. Plus if we hadn't done a first look we probably wouldn't get 80% of the pictures we did because by the time we got to the reception I was feeling too sick to really tolerate too many pictures (as you'll see by the amount of post-ceremony pictures we have.)
After a few minutes of lots of kisses and checking each other out, it was time for some bride and groom portraits.

Awww, I love all of them! First look pictures are usually some of my very favorites of the entire day!
